Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to every order placed on toolsplus.ie. Please read them before ordering. Placing an order means you accept them.

1. Who we are

toolsplus.ie is operated by ToolHub Limited, trading as ToolsPlus, registered in Ireland, company number 785621, VAT number 4410586JH, registered office 20b Beckett Way, Parkwest Business Park, Dublin 12, D12 T2NF, Ireland. Contact: info@toolsplus.ie, 01 687 6097.

2. Who can order

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to order from us.

We also supply trade and business customers. Where trade purchases require a registered account, the account terms shown at registration apply in addition to these terms. Please note: the 14-day cancellation right in Section 6 is a consumer protection and applies only when you are buying as a private individual, not for the purposes of your trade, business or profession.

3. Products and pricing

We try to describe and price products accurately. Occasionally a price or description may be wrong; if we discover this after you order, we will contact you before processing the order, and you may cancel it.

All prices on the site are shown in euro and include Irish VAT unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you pay.

4. Placing an order

When you place an order we send you an order confirmation by email. This confirms we have received your order; it does not mean we have accepted it. The contract between us is formed when we dispatch the goods, or tell you they are on their way.

We may decline an order — for example, if a product is out of stock, if we suspect fraud, or if payment is not authorised.

5. Delivery

We deliver to Ireland, the United Kingdom and other European countries. Delivery charges, timeframes and areas covered are set out on our Delivery Information page.

For orders delivered to the United Kingdom, prices include UK VAT where we are required to charge it, and we are registered for UK VAT purposes, VAT number 518467076. For deliveries elsewhere in the EU, Irish VAT applies unless stated otherwise at checkout.

Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us.

6. Your right to cancel (change of mind)

If you are a consumer buying for personal use, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013.

To cancel, tell us clearly by email to info@toolsplus.ie, including your order reference, within the 14-day period.

You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back to us at:

Return postage for a change-of-mind cancellation is paid by you. We recommend using a tracked service, since you are responsible for the goods until they reach us.

Once we receive the goods back, we will refund the price you paid, including the standard delivery charge you paid to receive them, within 14 days. We may reduce the refund if the goods show signs of use beyond what is needed to check they work.

This cancellation right does not apply to:

• goods made to your specification or clearly personalised;
• sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons, such as opened paints or chemicals, once unsealed after delivery;
• goods that become mixed inseparably with other items after delivery.

7. Faulty, damaged or wrong goods

If a product arrives faulty, damaged or different from what you ordered, this is separate from the cancellation right above. You are not paying for our mistake. Contact info@toolsplus.ie with your order reference and, where possible, a photo of the problem. Where we agree the item is faulty, damaged or wrong, we pay the cost of returning it, and you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980 and the European Union (Consumer Rights) Regulations.

8. Electrical and battery equipment (WEEE)

Some products we sell are electrical equipment or contain batteries. As required by the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations, when you buy a new electrical item from us, you may return an old item of equivalent type free of charge. To do this, bring the old item to our returns counter at John F Kennedy Avenue, Bluebell, Dublin, D12 PW89, Ireland.

9. Payment

Payment is taken securely through Klipboard Money. We do not store your card details.

10. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our liability to you for any order is limited to the price you paid for the goods in question.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in your own country, and mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence continue to apply.

EU residents can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
